A collaboration with the artist Katayoun Dowlatshahi, she described the project as follows:
A wonderful opportunity to create a new public square from a small existing carpark on the highest point of the coastal road in Cleethorpes. Because of political change in the Council, the project was not completed.
This was a collaborative effort. I worked alongside a local architectural firm to research and conceive an artwork that would be integrated fully into the fabric of the square, as paving, seating and landscaping. The concept was based on the movement of water on the shifting sands that extend so far out from Cleethorpes towards the sea.
I was also struck by the diversity of seaweed on the beaches that brought my attention to a 19th century passion for collecting, and in particular seaweed.
