Holderness House

Winner [which stands for: Women Improving Now Not Ever Retreating] provide a range of services including accredited courses for women, a specialist domestic violence and abuse service, a specialist sexual health service and an outreach support service, helping women isolated in their own homes.

This project will provide 15 1-bed dwellings within the verdant grounds of Grade II listed Holderness House, including the conversion of the existing coach house and outbuildings to provide 7 homes, together with construction of 8 new-build homes.The scheme balanced various considerations, including the need for secure and private accommodation to support vulnerable women whilst acknowledging the historically sensitive setting. The site is also set within flood risk zone 3; the resultant mitigation measures also had a significant impact on the form of the development.
