Modular Housing Project

This is a component of the East Marsh United (EMU) ‘Greening the Marsh’ project providing welfare facilties, teaching space and equipment storage for the volunteers working on the community garden on the ground floor and 12 one bedroom flats to the upper floors. South facing balconies will overlook the greening project gardens. Modular construction techniques will be employed providing young apprentice workshop and on site training opportunities. The building is placed on Grafton Street to replace demolished houses, thus improving the street scene. Brightly coloured cladding panels are proposed to help enliven the area.
