Locally listed Fryston House, constructed in 1889, is an attractive building occupying a prominent position on Nun’s Corner and within the Wellow Conservation Area. It stood empty for several years and had slowly begun to deteriorate. The development established a positive use for the building, thus ensuring its continued existence by providing 8nr two‐bed and 2nr one‐bed apartments within the envelope of the existing building. Shared gardens and parking are also provided within the grounds. Original features remain having been sympathetically restored and cleverly incorporated into the apartments, including the staircase, decorative tiling, stained glass and timber wall panelling.
