Alexandra Road Conservation Area

Alexandra Road is an arterial route along Cleethorpes coast and includes a number of recognised buildings of historical merit. These structures have been highlighted in the Heritage Lottery Funding. Hodson Architects have been approached by a number of private clients following the announcement of the Heritage Lottery Funding.

2 projects have received planning approval; 5 Alexandra Road, currently the RAF Club and 33 Alexandra Road, a privately owned dwelling with commercial use at ground floor.The schemes aim to restore the principal elevations of the buildings to their original character through the use of historical information. Proposals include new timber bay/sash windows and heritage approved doors and shutters, restoration of original cast iron details or providing like for like replacements, decorative timber dentil details and fascias and repointing original brickwork with heritage mortar.
