The Warren

The Warren, located on the western edge of Queens Gardens in Hull, is a prominent historic building that was originally built as a fire station for what was then Queens Dock in the 1800’s.

The current tenants, The Warren Youth Project, are an independent charity that offer vital support services to marginalised and vulnerable young people in Hull. We have assisted the charity with a grant application fund for this key facility within the City. The application was successful, and works are due to begin in 2024.

The proposal is for the complete refurbishment of the building, as well as key interventions that improve inclusive access arrangements throughout. The refurbishment includes the full replacement of all timber windows and doors, thermal upgrades to both roof and existing walls, cosmetics improvements and the installation of a new mechanical & electrical system, incorporating sustainable technology.
